> Create a Mind and issue a Builder API key before using Builder Tools.

To start building, you need to create at least one Mind and a Builder API key.

## Create your first Mind

You need at least one Mind before Builder Tools can route messages. Create one from your account, add more later once you know how Minds work.

## Create a Builder API key

Create a key in the Builder console, add a name and expiry, then copy the token when it appears. It is shown only once, so store it as `MINDS_BUILDER_API_KEY` before you use the CLI or client library.
